How do I save money on adventures?

As a subscriber to AO Adventure Club you will have access to our secure database of hundreds of pre-screened outfitters around the world who have agreed to give you a discount of 15% on guided adventures in the United States and Canada and 20% on international.

If your family wanted to go whitewater rafting in Colorado, you would search our database for an outfitter in the program. The database will provide you with the outfitters name, websites, and contact information. You will contact the outfitter directly, identify yourself as an AO Outdoorsman Adventure Club member and book your rafting trip. If you had a family of four and the normal cost of your one day trip was $600, as an AO Adventure Club member you would book your trip for only $510, and save $90.

That savings continues for all the adventures. Additional examples are:

• Savings on an Elk hunt that costs $6,500 is $975
• Savings on a half-day ATV mountain ride that costs $175 is $25 per person
• Savings on a zip line tour that costs $350 is $52 per person
• Savings on a pheasant hunt in NE that costs $1,500 is $225

What is the secure social network?

After you become a member of American Outdoorsman Adventure Club you will receive a member id and you will create a user name and password.

Your user name and password will get you into the secure area of our website. This area includes a social network designed for people who enjoy learning about, dreaming about, talking about and experiencing outdoor adventures. Things you can do in the Social Network include:

• Messaging: You can send messages to other AO Adventure Club members to ask them questions about a trip they took, that you want to take your family on and learn from the other members what outfitter to use, what to pack, and where in the country is the best place to go. You can e-mail them to ask them how to cook the Salmon they caught on their last fishing trip that you saw their photos on the site, or just to share your great story and expand your group of friends who also love the outdoors like you do.
• Forum: The forum is a place where you can; talk to the American Outdoorsman Pro-Staff and ask questions, talk to other members about topics like mountain sports, water sports, hunting, fishing, or just read what other members are discussing in the forum. The forum topics change on a regular basis and provide you a great place to investigate outdoor adventure topics you may not be knowledgable about and share with other members the understandings you have.
• Photos: You can post and share your photos and “trophies” with other members. Photo categories include water sports, mountain sports, pets, fishing, hunting and many more. Posting your photo is a great way to prove you caught that three pound bass, braved the level three rapids in your canoe, saw the most beautiful northern lights on your camping trip to Canada….

How will I book my adventure?

When you search the database for the type of adventure you want you will see on your screen a complete list of all those outfitters who offer that type of adventure. The information on each outfitter is complete their name, a description of the adventures they offer, where they are located, website, and contact information. You will call the outfitter directly and identify yourself as an AO Adventure Club member and book your trip.

Who is eligible for the discounts on the adventures?

Your Subscription in the AO Adventure Club is for your household, up to two adults and all children who share your permanent address. If you have a group of friends and other family who are going to join you on your adventure, many of the outfitters pass along your discount to your entire party, but it is not required.

Does our member discount also apply to lodging or food?

The discount for AO Adventure Club members is only required for the guided adventure services. However, it is up to each outfitter if they also want to pass along the discount on lodging, food and other amenities.

Who created AO Adventure Club?

AO Adventure Club was created by and is being managed by the Pro-Staff from The American Outdoorsman® television and radio shows. On the air for over 20 years, the weekly hunting and fishing TV and radio shows, showcase the ultimate enjoyment in hunting, fishing and outdoor adventure travel, as well as the conservation and preservation of our great outdoors resources.

Our viewers and listeners have shared their challenges with us when they have tried to find professionals to teach and guide them in their outdoor adventures when booking hunting and fishing guides. Then our audiences’ requests expanded to other adventures like mountain biking, horseback riding, water sports etc. as their families wanted to experience the outdoors together.

Rather than rely on others in the hospitality industry to guide you, we interviewed and pre-screened hundreds of outfitters around the world and created the database that is now part of our Club. The great news is these reputable and experienced outfitters also have agreed to pass along a guaranteed discount to all our members.
